چکیده
Introduction: IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is one of the most common forms glomerulonephritis worldwide. It leads to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) in many patients. At time diagnosis, risk stratification paramount importance planning proper management individual cases. Several studies have been conducted determine utility various demographic, clinical, laboratory, and pathological features on biopsy stratify progression predict likely outcome. This review summarizes emerging data histological prognosis along with factors associated outcomes patients IgAN. Methods: For this review, we searched DOAJ (Directory Open Access Journals), PubMed/Medline, Web Science, Scopus, Embase, Google Scholar, using keywords including; "IgA nephropathy," nephritis," "IgAN," "Berger’s disease," syndrome," "chronic glomerulonephritis, "prognostic factors," "risk stratification," "renal survival," "ESRD," "MEST classification," "MEST-C classification" "Oxford Classification." To identify other relevant studies, manually scanned bibliographic lists identified reviewed articles from January 2009 through December 2020. All were carefully reviewed, information was extracted for narrative review. Results: A total 152 retrieved above literature database searches. The abstracts 35 containing prognostic longterm survival IgAN Relevant collected summarized main focus laboratory features, especially serial changes these parameters during follow-up, purpose. Recently a standardized, evidencebased formulation has devised evaluate categorize augment refine value traditional factors; it popularly known as Oxford classification There numerous validation ethnic groups that proven its clinical utility. Conclusion: In conclusion, clinicians should also take into account pathologic variables according revised addition early reliable prognostication at diagnosis optimal ultimate improvement long-term outcomes.

Narrative Review Risk Stratification of Patients With IgA Nephropathy
In this review, we summarize recent advances in the risk stratification of patients with immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy. Several clinical variables have consistent and independent associations with worse kidney prognosis, including blood pressure, proteinuria, and baseline kidney function. Although one-time crosssectional assessments of blood pressure and proteinuria are important, a more t...

The evolution of patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) varies greatly, and predictive tools are needed to assess confidently the risk for progression. Although in many studies clinical risk factors such as hypertension and proteinuria have consistently been linked to outcome, the independent value of pathology remains debated. Pathologists have developed a number of classifications over the year...

OBJECTIVE The Oxford Classification for Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) identifies pathological variables that may predict the decline of renal function. This study aimed to evaluate the Oxford Classification variables as predictors of renal dysfunction in a cohort of Brazilian children and adolescents with IgAN. METHODS A total of 54 patients with IgAN biopsied from 1982 to 2010 were ass...
متن کاملoxford classification of iga nephropathy is applicable to predict long-term outcomes of henoch-schönlein purpura nephritis.
henoch-schönlein purpura nephritis and iga nephropathy are currently considered to be different clinical presentations of the same disease. there is need for a reliable proven, morphologic classification that can help clinicians more accurately formulate treatment strategies for patients with henoch-schönlein purpura nephritis. considering that henoch-schönlein purpura nephritis and iga nephrop...
متن کاملThe Oxford classification of IgA nephropathy: single centre experience.
The Oxford classification for the pathological classification of a glomerular disease in IgA nephropathy was established and published in 2009. Four of the pathological variables: 1) mesangial hypercellularity score, 2) segmental glomerulosclerosis, 3) endocapillary hypercellularity and 4) tubular atrophy/interstital fibrosis were presented as having value in predicting renal outcome in this gl...
